This creeper grows above the high tide mark along the back beach on K'gari (Fraser Island) and is culturally significant. Butchulla people eat the fruit and vegetable as well as using it as a herbal medicine.
The original painting is on a stretched canvas onto which acrylic ochres were applied. The detailing was finalised with brushes made from natural fibres to define the pigface leaves.
Reproduction is 50cm x 50cm printed on 320gsm Sihl MC Cotton Rag.
